I mean, in the grand scheme of things, PBS is not a big thing, but, man, it’s cutting the heart right out of everyone who learned great kindness from Mr. Rogers, that quiet Presbyterian minister, the alphabet with Kermit, numbers with The Count—hell, all of the kids with distant parents who could take some comfort in Elmo, who just wanted to give hugs—and all of us who learned science with Nova and Carl Sagan—
