Asymptote’s 2nd issue is out now! I wasn’t as involved with this issue as I was with the first since I resigned as Special Feature editor and became instead a Contributing Editor. Which means: I contributed! I have an essay in it about AR Luria’s book The Mind of a Mnemonist, a small case study of a man who could remember virtually everything. It was supposed to be an introduction to a writer or a book, but I didn’t know how to do that since I’m not the smartest cookie in the jar. I did a little voodoo instead and came up with this piece.
Also in Asymptote this time around: Two Nobel Prize winners and a lot of terrific art by a Japanese artist to accompany many of the published pieces.
