I released a Kindle version of Mary + Percy Shelley’s History of a Six Weeks’ Tour under the Monkfish Jowls banner.
This came about a few months ago while I was in Singapore and reading Frankenstein for the first time. I fell in love with the book. I immediately wanted to do two things: Write my own novel and Fall in love with a writer, despite telling myself that I wouldn’t fall in love with a writer again.
While looking up Mary Shelley I found a reference to this book. It sounded interesting, but there was no Kindle version (I had become a voracious Kindle reader while riding the Singapore busses), so I decided I’d make one. I typed the whole damn thing up, called my friend Kevin Hyde to see if he’d write an outro, I made up a pseudonym to do the intro, and it was set.
And here it is. You can download a sample through Amazon to any of your devices that have Kindle software available for it (including some of those more advanced refrigerators). I make $1.00 off each copy sold. Some of that will be going to Kev and some to whichever Gulf Coast charity is hot that day.
